About Us

Our mission at Treasure Attic is to supply customers with quality products and to educate and inform customers about vintage items and resources.

My name is Shara Ibalio, owner of The Treasured Attic.  My obsession with the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's started at a young age.  My parents were really into antiques, so naturally I followed.  I can still remember the first retro item I received.  It was a hand-painted sugar container from the fifties and it now sits in my red, black, grey, and white dinner kitchen.  This little gift from my father started a fascination that lend to an obsession (as I like to call it).  Since then I have been collecting vintage furniture, lamps, clothing, electronics, house wares, records, and the list goes on and on.  When I was in high school I was lucky enough to find someone who did not mind my obsession.

My husband and I were married in August of 2006, and you guessed it, we had a 1950's wedding and luau reception.  If you click on the "My 1950's Wedding" button on the home page, you can view a few of the pictures we posted for everyone to enjoy, so take a gander.  If you have any questions or had a vintage wedding please e-mail me.  I would love to see pictures and/or answer any question you might have able my wedding.  After getting married we/I looked for a vintage place to live.

We currently live in a 1960's townhouse, which I have entirely decorated in the vintage style.  I have even gone as far as collecting 40's, 50's, 60's , and 70's interior decorating books so that I get it right.   I would hate for another vintage enthusiast to enter my home and see something out of place.  Not including the TV, computer, and other electronics because these things you cannot help but update.

WHY I STARTED THE TREASURED ATTIC:

Fortunately, my collection has grow so big, I needed to either sell some of it to other vintage enthusiasts or buy a bigger house.  My husband opted for selling; the vintage items not our house.  I hope that you enjoy my collection and contact me if you have any questions about an item.  If you cannot find what you are looking for, then lay an e-mail on me and I will see if I have it in storage.  If you are looking into becoming a vintage enthusiast and want more information, check out my links and reference page.  This page has a list of web sites and books that are great for other vintage/retro items and facts.  Along with being a retro buff I also do rendezvous/colonial reenactments.  Sneak a peek at my sister and my other website www.haleshandmades.com if you are interested in learning more.  Thank you once again and have a blast!
